The price of LED lamps/fixtures have come down considerably over the last few years as manufacturers look to lower costs to facilitate adoption of LED by residential and small business clients. In many cases lower costs are achieved by using lower grade components e.g. plastic vs aluminum, low grade chipsets, and drivers. The lower price comes at the cost of lower efficiency (lower savings), shorter lifespan and higher future maintenance costs. Unlike other companies who focus on price TGL designs LED using a perfect balance of price, aesthetics, efficiency, and reliability to create products that deliver value in multiple areas. 2014: TGL introduces driverless 9W – T8 4FT High Efficiency LED direct replacement tube. The driverless design provides additional efficiency, high compatibility, and unmatched life with ability to handle over 1000V of power surges.
2015: TGL Introduces first high efficiency 3 colour changeable LED Panel and the first 120-347V wide range driver specially designed for Canadian commercial market.
2016: TGL one of first to introduce Vintage Filament LED lamps to Canadian market resulting in contract with Fairmont – Royal York LED upgrade.
2017: TGL introduces Thundershock™ to High Bays and Exterior fixtures enabling them to withstand up 10,000V of electrical fluctuations.
2018: TGL introduces Zeus Smart High Bay with plug & play IOT sensors.
2018: TGL introduces first direct replacement dimmable T8 and T5 LED Tubes.
2019: TGL introduces 120-347V high power exterior lighting fixtures for Canadian market.
2020: TGL introduces Phantom Line architectural fixtures
